J. B. LOEWEN
Jacoline Loewen is a corporate consultant, lecturer and writer of business strategy. In recent years Jacoline has been assisting owner-managed Canadian companies seeking capital, venture capital and private equity. Jacoline shares her experience and business knowledge of Private Equity in her latest book Money Magnet: How To Attract Investors to Your Business. The book, published by John Wiley and due out July 19, 2008, is written in typical Jacoline Loewen style – informative, relaxed and easy to understand.
Jacoline began her career in the mining industry working on location in Alaska and Northern Canada. She then made a shift to the Canadian media industry. Her creative thought process led to her then employer, Telemedia Inc, presenting her with an award for Innovation.
In 1989, Jacoline moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, where she joined the strategy division of Deloitte. After a successful stay, Jacoline then began work at Investec, a large merchant bank with headquarters in both London and Johannesburg. At Investec she served as a Corporate Strategist reporting to the CEO. Her role included the design and roll out of strategy processes for the entire group.
The entrepreneurial spirit in J. B. Loewen is the inspiration for the book Money Magnet.
Currently, as a partner with Loewen & Partners Inc., J. B. Loewen finds capital for companies ranging from $10M revenues and up, as well as for family owned enterprises. Loewen & Partners has raised over $100 million in private equity for owners of companies.

Jacoline is also the author of The Power of Strategy (1997), and Business e-Volution (2001), was listed in Leading Women of South Africa and nominated for Business Woman of the Year by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).

Jacoline's other roles include mentoring for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, serving as a judge for the Ivey Business School's annual Business Plan Competition, sitting on one of the University of Toronto's Rotman MBA IMC volunteer boards, as well as being a member of Canadian Association of Family Enterprises and Women in Capital Markets. She was on the Board of Directors of the Strategic Leadership Forum as well as Bilingo China and Innovation Exchange. Jacoline organizes CEO Roundtables and other conferences to transform the way CEOs and owners see their company and to encourage innovation and powerful growth.
Loewen lives in Toronto, Canada with her husband and two teenage sons.
